Walking in Rimbaud's footsteps

A winter travel from Charleville-Mézières to Genova… Rimbaud needed a little bit more than one month to roam along the 1500 km of the route, walking through the Vosges and the Alps through the Gothard Pass. How long will it take to me, I don’t really know, but more or less 20 days seem to be a reasonable estimation of the travel duration. I’ll use, as close as possible, the same travelling modes than Rimbaud (by foot on more or less 400 kilometers) during this necessary travel (which could also be called the “travel of a disagented man”. This travel will provide the opportunity of a photographic and cinematographic work held with basic plastic cameras (Lomo 120 LC and Lomokino camera) loaded with B&W Cczech films. Sounds and live commentaries will be recorded by a micro digital field recorder (only concession to the modernity). The becoming of this work is not really yet defined, exhibition, art installationk, book, radio broadcast, nobody knows and it will be considered in time. Departure on October 18th.
